The Valda Twaddle Trust was formed in 2007 following the death of Valda Twaddle who left a sum of money to James MacLeod and Geoff Burrell to manage in Trust and to be awarded to appropriate community needs as deemed appropriate by the Trustees. The Valda Twaddle family have had a long association with Lions Clubs International. Valda was active with the Lions Ladies and her parents John and Ivy Twaddle Charter Members of the Noble Park Lions Club and her brother John Edward ​Twaddle a member of the Forest Hill Lions Club. Each award by the Trust is presented by the Lions Club of Forest Hill. The Valda Twaddle Trust seeks to assist those who might otherwise have difficulty in raising the funds for a specific purpose. The Trust funds projects, items or ideas that demonstrate careful costing by the applicant organisation.
