Nutrition at Kinder
The children and teachers regularly engage in conversations about nutrition and healthy lunchboxes, these conversations happen as the children are sitting down to eat as well as other times during the program.
It is important that children eat a variety of food across all of the food groups, this ensures they get a range of nutrients important for their growth and development. A healthy lunch box full of fresh food gives your child the energy to concentrate, learn and play all day.
How much you put in your child’s lunch box depends on the length of your child’s day.
Nutrition Australia provides a ‘pick & mix chart’ that you and your child can use to make sure your lunch boxes stay healthy.
We have a ‘nut & egg’ free environment at our Kinder.
Please call us to organise a tour with one of our educators or if you have any questions.

At Woodhouse Grove Kindergarten we want the children to know they can try it themselves, be themselves, celebrate diversity, play fair, look after the world, feel safe and enjoy their kindergarten journey. We see children as individuals who each have their own interests, ideas and perspectives. We believe in empowering the children to grow, take on risks, work independently, build resilience and express themselves in many ways. We offer the children new learning experiences and develop new skills whilst enabling them to make choices, develop their independence and feel a sense of pride and achievement.
